Do you have a case study to share about supply chain relationships that are going well?
The Employment Related Services Association (ERSA - the trade association for the welfare to work industry), ACEVO (the representative body for third sector leaders), and NCVO (the national voluntary sector membership body), intend to work together over the course of 2012 to increase the quality and quantity of supply chain relationships within the welfare to work industry involving the voluntary and community sectors.
As a first step, the three organisations are working together to develop a good practice guide on supply chain relationships within the welfare to work arena. They are therefore interested in receiving information from members about supply chain relationships that are going well and why that might be, with the aim of informing the development of case studies and good practice guidance.
At this stage, all that is needed is an indication that there may be good practice to be investigated. ERSA, ACEVO and NCVO will undertake the detailed research, after which point case studies will be signed off by both prime and sub contractor.
Following the development of the guide, ERSA, NCVO and ACEVO will be investigating what practical support might be put in place to support voluntary and community sector organisations currently outside supply chains who may wish to offer their services as subcontractors in the future. They will also provide feedback to prime contractors on the most effective means of supply chain management.
