Following a number of meetings regarding the DWP Work Programme Framework and potential consortia arrangements please see the following SPV Briefing and update from James Jennings of NorthWood Valley Consulting who is attempting to build a National Third Sector Consortium to act as a Prime Contractor for the Work Programme

You may have seen the clarification letter from DWP about the Framework and in particular asking about emerging consortia.  They have asked us to clarify our progress to date and asked us to submit some information on how these are coming together.  Therefore, I realise we’ve not spoken in enough detail yet about specific arrangements, however if you feel able I would like to submit a response which includes your organisation.  This requires no commitment at the moment, merely an assurance that we are not wasting DWP’s time by fielding something that has no chance of getting through the Financial Viability Risk Assessment.

I’ve enclosed a briefing paper which I wrote last night for information but which has now become increasingly relevant.

In the first instance, if you feel comfortable throwing your hats into the ring then please email me with the following information by 6pm on Monday 16th August 2010.  This doesn’t commit you to anything yet beyond demonstrating to DWP that our progress is sufficient to be involved in the Framework discussions.
